Koutetsujou no Kabaneri | 720p [DameDesuYo]

  • As the world is in the middle of an industrial revolution, a monster appears that cannot be defeated unless its heart, which is protected by a layer of iron, is pierced. By infecting humans with its bite, the monster can create aggressive and undead creatures known as Kabane. On the island Hinomoto, located in the far east, people have built stations to shelter themselves from these creatures. People access the station, as well as transport wares between them, with the help of a locomotive running on steam, called Hayajiro. Ikoma, a boy who lives in the Aragane station and helps to build Hayajiro, creates his own weapon called Tsuranukizutsu in order to defeat the creatures. One day, as he waits for an opportunity to use his weapon, he meets a girl named Mumei, who is excused from the mandatory Kabane inspection. During the night, Ikoma meets Mumei again as he sees Hayajiro going out of control. The staff on the locomotive has turned into the creatures. The station, now under attack by Kabane, is the opportunity Ikoma has been looking for.

    About the Author

An avid reader (manga, visual novels, light novels, wuxia novels... novels in general). A gamer ([j]rpg, platformer, sandbox, fps, mmo). A technophile, programmer, and of course an encoder. And definitely a sloth.

    • Las

what the raw you are used for encoder the episode?
and can change the encoder to be HEVC?
it’s better and HQ and small size

      • Zun

Plays HEVC on netbook or low speed computer, result in laggy or shuttering video on about 5 fps. Please consider compatibility issue with low speed computer. Also this anime art and details is really good, I think it is good choice to use CRF23 to compromise between file size and detail of the video.

        • Las

well you right is lwo on netbook or low speed computer is very bad and the world in revelation of technology
but with professional of encoder that can find out to fixed
there team in nyaa or animetosho is very fantastic and have small size 200 mega and is think you know them

          sorry for bad EN

          • Zun

As long as the encoded video can be played normally on low speed computer and quality of the video is same as or better than the video encoded by lambchop, then it is OK. I have no problem with it. 😀

Until it becomes more of an adopted standard. It does have higher compression but requires more cpu demand for both encoding and decoding. So we aren’t in any rush to switch, not unless the source we use also adopt that standard as our re-encodes are largely dependent on the source anyways.

And at this time HDDs are even cheaper so space is not an issue. Enjoy our release 🙂

Am I the only one bothered with the subs? Great for OP / ED, really bad for character names
